Cancer?

October 8

Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay. Things have been going well. There are still issues with eating for two reasons - lack of normal saliva and skin that is still healing. When I eat, sometimes the new/healing skin on the roof of my mouth (toward the back) gets a bunch of mucoceles. These are little cysts full of clear fluid (mucus). They don't hurt but, depending on where they are, it can feel like something is stuck in my mouth or throat. Again, they don't hurt, but they are a nuisance.

A few days ago a friend asked if I had jogged since I did the 5k on September 28. My answer was no. I've done a lot of walking with Halo. I've also gotten a lot of "incidental exercise." I've built some stuff in the garage and have moved a lot of stuff around. And I'm sure I do my stairs 15-20 times/day.

I started to feel a little lazy (I am trying to avoid the word guilty). No jogging at all since the 5k. That didn't sit well with me. I decided that I would jog today.

10K. Yes, you read that correctly. 10K. No stops. Slower than when I was healthy and jogging frequently but...10K!

Cancer? Whatever! Pic is a smiling but tired-after-jog guy...lol.

10K!! BOOM!! lol

Tomorrow I am seeing the surgeon who found the cancer. He will do a laryngoscopy to see how my tongue and throat are healing. Hopefully he won't see anything concerning. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Thanks for taking the time to read my update. I appreciate all of you.
